Goals:
1-0: From a throw-in on the right, Sashi flicked a header for Rafeeq who deftly scored with a Van Persie-like finish.
1-3: We needlessly gave away the ball when retaining possession was the better option. The opponents scored from the swift counterattack. They scored 2 more goals to make it 1-3 in the 2nd half.
2-3: My miscued lobbed through pass was misjudged by the GK, and Yazier's hard work and chase was rewarded as he tapped in the loose ball.
2-5: The opponents scored 2 more goals. The 4th goal was poor, as Bobos had made a fantastic save, and I was guilty of not following through to clear the rebound.

We played the same opponents last week, both teams with many changes made. Our team especially was heavily patched-up with Rafeeq and Yazier playing in central midfield and the returning Rahman and Yazier our only substitutes. Khai was also injured midway in the 2nd half and it was up to us to dig deep for a mental challenge even as we decently coped with the physical and fitness aspects of the game.
Our early goal gave us confidence but we then gave conceded a careless goal. It was destined to be a disastrous match at 1-3 down but Bobos' heckling and frustration spurred on the team as we fought back to narrow it to 2-3. The referee's awful decisions, especially one mistaken offside call, plus Farid's poor shot on target that could have made it 3-3, gave back initiative to the opponents who scored 2 more goals, of which I was guilty with one. Farid, who had a good outing otherwise as a winger, also could have put bathed himself in glory had he converted a similar chance in the first.
I had an awful game. My passes were mostly awry where it mattered most. I will have to buck up on this.
MOTM: Farid missed 2 shots on goal that would have capped his otherwise good, and almost MOTM display. Bobos is the MOTM this week, making a few wonderful one-on-saves which were masked by the scoreline. His attitude to keep us in contention at 1-3 down was passionately answered by our brave, albeit a brief and unlucky fightback.
