Goals:
1-0: Sashi did all the hard work before releasing the ball to me. Kariim, with acres of space, finished well from my forward pass.
1-2: The opps scored a freak equalizer after a low shot cannoned off the foot of the upright into Wilson's back that trickled into goal, before taking the lead.
2-2: Rafeeq finished off Yongsheng's assist after a good sequence of passes to make it level going into the break.
2-3: A simple opponent throw-in caused mayhem seconds later and they regained the lead.
3-3: Sashi header from Azman's freekick cross took a heavy deflection of an opp that just crept into goal.
3-5: The opps capitalized on a poor pass from our possession and scorched Bobos' goal from long-range to take the lead just after we equalized. After our attack broke down needlessly, another poor pass in defense led to the opps extending their lead.
4-5: With about 7mins remaining, good work from the left flank led to Rafeeq pouncing on Kariim's headed flick and he scored to make it a photo finish.
4-6: It was not meant to be as the opps put away the game for good with the last goal of the game in this goal-fest.
Azhari and Wilson returned to the team. Both had an outstanding game although Wilson made way for Bobos for the 2nd half. Kevin improved wonderfully in the 2nd half while Sashi has scored an amazing 10 goals in his last 8 games (he missed one of our last 9 games). Kariim scored his first goal today on his 54th appearance and Rafeeq's goals were his first since June (although he has not played in most games in that time) to move into 3rd on the top scorers list. We had very good spells this game compared to our last, and the rain certainly helped in the 2nd half. The game could have gone either way and it was a shame we conceded one freak and two defensive-fault passes.
MOTM: Rafeeq scored two well-taken goals in limited minutes but Kevin is my pick. His massive improvement in the 2nd half after a solid 1st half, included the play of the day; bamboozling 3 opps.
